Last week, the New York Times published an article about DHA, a "brain-nourishing" omega-3 fatty acid found in most infant formulas and prenatal nutritional supplements. Recent studies by the Cochrane Collaboration concluded that there isn't a clear connection between formula with DHA and improved brain development in infants. In spite of this conclusion, many experts still believe that DHA is important for infants' development and should be included in formulas.
